  ControlGuard Endpoint Access Manager Integration
ControlGuard’s advanced enterprise security software, Endpoint Access Manager, is well integrated with enterprise management systems such as CA eTrust and HP OpenView. This enables administrators to leverage existing management infrastructure and consolidate endpoint security events in unified logs and existing management consoles.

Endpoint Access Manager Integration with
eTrust Security Command Center

"ControlGuard provides important end-point security functionality that enterprise customers need to implement in the context of their total enterprise security operations. The integration of ControlGuard and CA’s eTrust Security Command Center enables them to do so – ensuring both the end-to-end enforcement of security policies and the end-to-end completeness of security audits.

Endpoint Access Manager enhances eTrust Security Command Center’s ability to manage information security risks at the
endpoint by extending its reach to removable media and portable devices, such as CDs, memory sticks (USB flash drives) and iPods.

Endpoint Access Manager is an enterprise-grade solution for controlling, monitoring and logging access to removable media, portable storage
devices and communication interfaces, in order to prevent information leakage from PCs and laptops.

By implementing policies at the endpoints, ControlGuard’s solution effectively controls and monitors all I/O activities. Unauthorized
transactions are blocked, and all transactions of all removable media, I/O devices and communication interfaces are monitored and
communicated in real-time to the eTrust Security Command Center.

Removable media and I/O devices which can be blocked include: internal and external modems, PDAs, iPods, network and local printers,
MP3 players, tape devices, biotech devices, CD/DVDs, burners, memory sticks (USB flash drives), LAN adapters, camcorders, digital cameras, scanners, optical devices, smart phones, floppy disks, mass storage, SD Cards and zip/jazz drives. Communication interfaces which can be blocked include:
USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, PCI, ISA, optical beams, secure digital, PCMCIA, serial (COMs), parallel (LPTs), IrDA and FireWire.

Security administrators can define granular information security policies that assign permissions to users or PCs to access any device, media
or communication interface. They also specify which events should be collected and communicated. Those events are collected
by eTrust Security Command Center and filtered based on information security policy rules.

eTrust Security Command Center communicates the filtered events and displays the status of endpoint access management
throughout the network.
